The Board of Student Organizations oversees the approval process for new student organizations on campus. We also hope to enhance the experience of students involved in already established student organizations by hosting events, working on policy initiatives with the UGBC Student Assembly, and advocating for the needs of groups to the Office of Student Involvement and other administrators.
Message from the Vice President
Thanks for checking out the page for the Board of Student Organizations. As VP, there are two major parts to my job. First, 11 other students and I regularly review applications for new organizations on campus. If starting a new organization on campus is something you’re interested in doing, great! Applications will go live in September. Our process is pretty thorough, so take the time to hone your idea before applying. My second job is to help students find the right organization for them to dedicate their time to. Along with the fall and spring involvement fairs, our division will be working year round to help you find the right fit. Be on the lookout for UGBC campaigns highlighting student orgs—you might just find a group you’re interested in!
