The SOFC serves as the primary funding body for registered student organizations (RSO's) on the Boston College campus that are not part of Boston College club sports, or the Undergraduate Government Of Boston College.

Our purpose is to allocate student activity funds to all approved university clubs and groups; nearly 150 to date. 

We conduct weekly meetings to discuss budget fundings and rationales as well as deliberate on policy changes. 

The SOFC board consists of a total of thirteen to seventeen voting members, including eleven to fifteen undergraduate students; a representative of the Student Programs Office
(SPO); and a representative of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA). There are four categories of membership: mentee, alternate, voting, and ex-officio.
