Welcome to the Caribbean Culture Club!

This semester, the Caribbean Culture Club will be reinventing its image on the Boston College campus, with a brand new executive board comprised of mostly new members! We are looking forward to giving CCC a fresh kickstart towards getting the BC student body more excited and informed about the values and vibrant culture of the Caribbean.

CCC strives to educate the Boston College community about the rich heritage and beauty that comes from the food, music, people, and cultural expressions of the Caribbean.  Although the club was established to promote further awareness about the Caribbean, we welcome and value the beauty, intelligence, and culture of all of our members. Furthermore, CCC wants to assist in the advancement of people of Caribbean decent including professors, BC students and other college and high school students in the greater Boston community. CCC also wants to serve as a support network for students of various walks of life in their transition to Boston College.  Lastly, CCC intends to unify the BC Community, various organizations at other educational institutions, and the greater Boston community through collaboration and sharing the community based ideals of the West Indian Culture.

IMPORTANT NEWS

We will be at the Student Involvement Fair this fall (Friday, September 7th) so BE SURE to stop by our table. There will be some treats, an opportunity to join our listserv, and to fill out an intent to apply form for our eboard. We will be filling all positions by the end of September, and will announce our new eboard in the beginning of October at our general meetings!

While CCC gets everything together, be sure to like our facebook page so you can keep track of our progress, enjoy some posts with tips and news from the Caribbean, and stay in the loop!

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events this semester! We plan to present BC with a Caribbean Culture Week filled with fun, inspiring, and exciting events-- look out for our fliers and "save the date" emails-- the week will be in the beginning of November!

What It Means to be Caribbean

“Caribbean means being a part of one of the most interesting, though unintended, social experiments in the world. Within this archipelago, we have people from all over the planet meeting and trying to live together without resorting to genocide…"
