Boston College is proud to be hosting the ACC AIC annual student leadership symposium in April 2013! Each year five student leaders (accompanied by a faculty/staff adviser) from each ACC university gather at a host university to study and teach, to swap and share both leadership strategies and knowledge regarding a specific social issue. This years symposium will be at Boston College from April 5th to April 7th 2013.
ACC Advisers and Participants: Registration is Open
If you plan to attend the ACC Leadership Conference 2013 please fill out the registration form. NOTE: Each school is allowed to bring five students and one adviser to the conference. Every ACC school conducts a different process so be sure to follow your school's application process before you register for the conference.
This program is intended for students with an interest in advancing their leadership capacities around the specific symposium theme. The host institution will offer recommendations for classification or interest in the call for delegations. Each participating school is the ultimate decision maker regarding their delegation. A diverse group of learners is recommended.
Intended Participant Learning Outcomes
1. Understand diverse perspectives and experiences
2. Learn about initiatives to respond to a chosen social issue
3. Apply symposium knowledge on individual campuses and/or collaboratively
4. Reinforce one’s responsibility to engage in broader society
5. Gain self-efficacy in working with others
