About ABSK

Welcome to Asian Baptist Student Koinonia! We are a group of undergraduates who seek to know and love God personally. As part of our name "Koinonia" is Greek for "deep fellowship", we strive to love one another as Christ loved us. ABSK has multiple chapters on Boston campuses, including Harvard University, MIT, Brandeis, Boston University, Wellesley College and of course Boston College!

We meet once weekly on Friday nights at 7 pm at Fulton 210 on campus to study the Bible and eat together. We also meet for study breaks and fun events off campus, like kayaking, bowling, and skiing. Although the majority of us are Asian and some are Baptist, you don't have to be either to join our group. All you need is a curiosity about the Bible and how it can apply to your life.

We are led by Pastor David Um, an affiliate campus minister.  Abraham Kim has been serving as a staff assistant at ABSK since 2009.  We also welcome Tim and Ashely Wong, who have joined as staff assistants in 2013.

Whether you are new to the Bible or have been attending church your entire life, we welcome you to join us at our weekly Friday Bible studies for some koinonia and study of the Word of God.
